This Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit from Vanguard includes the compact and lightweight VEO 3+ 263CB tripod and the VEO BH-160S ball head. Vanguard VEO3+263CB160S Overview

This Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit from Vanguard includes the compact and lightweight VEO 3+ 263CB tripod and the VEO BH-160S ball head. The tripod features a multi-angle central column that can be rotated 360° into vertical, horizontal, and slanted positions. When the column is set up horizontally, the ball head can be set up on one end, and an included VEO+MA1 Multi-Mount Adapter can be attached on the other end to support a second camera or other device. The Multi-Mount Adapter is a second mounting platform with mounting screws.

The tripod supports up to 33 lb and adjusts to a maximum height of 68" when the central column is raised up or to 58" with the column lowered. The tripod legs open to three leg angles, 23, 50, and 80°, with the lowest one positioning the tripod at just 5" above ground for extremely low-angle shots and time lapse capture. The folded height is 30.5".

I researched tripods for months and came across the Vanguard series. Being a former surveyor I know tripods and the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263CB Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO BH-160S Ball Head covered a lot of bases. True to the video reviews the versatility with this model has me armed to shoot from macro to the moon. The quality construction is sturdy, and the carbon materials deliver a very mobile featherweight tripod. The included bracket and removable spiked feet are welcomed additions that compile a good-to-go tripod package out of the box. Finally, the VEO BH-160S Ball Head is an exceptional mount that makes tight-tolerance shoots like astrophotography a snap. The locking mechanisms are quality made and simplistic to operate. Vanguard has a brilliant collection of tripods and I am glad to be a new convert.

Hello.   I purchased this tripod mainly for the overhead macro shooting capabilities. It's excellent for this, especially when the center column is in the horizontal position. One note, though, in the horizontal position, the center column can't be extended too far when a Sony A7R4 with 90mm Macro lens is attached. It wants to tip over when the center column is more than 50% extended. No worries, however, you can just position the camera to shoot between two of the legs. I used it yesterday fully extended to 68 with the legs at the 23 degree angle - very sturdy. I'm glad to have purchased this tripod, and the service from B&H was spot-on like always. Great product, great service. Thank you.

Yes, the VEO BH-160S Ball Head of the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263CB Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO BH-160S Ball Head can use most Arca Swiss style plates.
