If you just bought a Manfrotto GimBoom or are thinking about it, this item is a must have. It allows you to connect a Manfrotto articulated arm to the GimBoom. The arm could hold a monitor about midway down the GimBoom which makes it much easier to see what you're doing with your GimBoom/Gimbal combination.
