How can I get camera control with this gimbal for popular Nikon cameras such as D750? It does not include Nikon DC2 cable.
Chris H of B&H staff, thanks, but I know that. I am looking for a way to make it work, as it should be possible with a cable adapter, to go from an included cable to a DC2 connector. It should be easily possible. Can someone answer this?

Will it stabilize a Nikon D500 ? I understand it's not compatible with the controls. IJust want to know if it will stabilize it.
Unfortunately, the Nikon D500 camera has not been tested with the Manfrotto MVG300XM Modular Gimbal. Tested Nikon models are the listed in the compatibly chart below. the Weight of the Nikon D500 is 1.89 lb / 860 and the gimble payload weight is 7.6lbs so the camera should balance on the gimbal. But it's larger size may not fit.

What kind of tripod should I get to mount this on?
The gimbal has standard 1/4-20" threads on the bottom and can be mounted to any standard tripod. It will add about 5lbs to your set-up though, so we'd recommend using it with a tripod that can handle at least 10lbs of weight.

Yes. The gimbal comes with the camera control cables. The camera control cables will allow you to start/stop recording, take photos, and other control other camera settings.
