I purchased this lens cover for my Canon 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L lens. Thank you, B&H Photo for delivering my order on time, well packaged and in perfect condition! This is a good lens cover. It was easy to put on my lens and fit perfectly. I would have given the cover 5 stars if not for the fact that the piece that covers the section of the lens that zooms in and out AND the more narrow piece that covers the ring controlling the zoom function must be removed in order to properly adjust the lens zoom feature. I just leave those two pieces off.

It's a good fit. Will protect against dings and scratches. A little pricey, but I'm not a seamstress so I bought it.

Does the zoom work with the cover on the extension?
Nope. I just got this, and it does NOT zoom in and out with the cover in place. I'm VERY disappointed. This part of the cover is velcro, so it won't be too hard to take off, except I photograph birds and like to be quiet--velcro is noisy.

How is this product attached to the various parts ...
How is this product attached to the various parts of the lense? and is it easily removed? I normally use Lenscoat but this looks interesting. Tks.
