Movement is not smooth - even after cleaning ball

If I did not have the choice of another similar shape and model, I would be willing to accept this device, even with its flaws. This style of trackball mouse is easier to use, more ergonomic (ie, less stress on the joints) than a normal mouse as well as compared to other trackballs. I am thinking of trying to return it, as it will be sitting on my desk collecting dust otherwise. I have been using the older Logitech model, and decided to try the Adesso for comparison. The Logitech won without question. Here is why: - The movement of the cursor on-screen was not smooth and consistent. In other words, the arrow jumped, and sometimes did not move at all until I had moved the ball quite a way. I cleaned the ball (using a microfiber cloth and lens cleaner - being afraid to try anything harsher) and cleaned the rollers that measure the ball's movement. That did not help. - The physical unit is much bigger than than the Logitech (although the ball is the same size). I have very large hands, so it doesn't bother me much, but it might be too big for folks with smaller hands.
