Benro Polaris Head

I have the Benro Polaris star tracker, and the first time I tried to put it on my RRS tripod, one of the adjustment knobs was hitting the tripod base. Benro thought this product thru, but missed on that design. The spacer fixes that problem. Very good quality, great service from B&H. Benro should include this when purchasing the head.

Very well-made and well-machined tripod spacer. It is the perfect addition to the Benro Polaris Astro head.

What's the small hole in the bottom plate for? Not the bottom center mounting hole, but the small hole offset from the edge.
The small hole on the top and bottom of the Benro GDHAD1 Tripod Spacer is for a set screw to help prevent it from unscrewing.

Is the small hole on the bottom plate a setscrew to secure the spacer to the tripod?
The manufacturer doesn't specify what the other hole in the bottom plate of the Benro GDHAD1 Tripod Spacer is for, but based on the spacing, it may be for a second screw or anti-twist pin to prevent the spacer from spinning on the mounting screw.
