With its 5120 x 2160 resolution, this 5K2K Nano IPS display provides plenty of room to multitask applications and work on complex projects. With HDR10 support and a wide color spectrum, the LG UltraWide 40WP95C-W delivers color-accurate photos and videos with bright highlights and deep shadows. A built-in ambient light sensor allows the monitor to automatically adjust its brightness settings throughout the day to optimize viewing comfort. At the same time, AMD FreeSync helps to reduce screen tearing, stuttering, and other artifacts from games when connected to compatible graphics cards. Additionally, the graphics are complemented by a 10W stereo speaker system with rich bass.

The LG UltraWide 40WP95C-W also features rich connectivity options, which include HDMI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 4. You can reduce desktop clutter by transferring video, data, and up to 96W of power over a single Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C cable with compatible laptops. The Thunderbolt 4 output port allows you to daisy chain multiple displays for even greater productivity. TÜV Rheinland certified low blue light technologies help to reduce eyestrain during extended use.

Curved Design
The 2500R curved widescreen design works with the razor thin bezels and 178° viewing angles to fill your field of view. Other features include a 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 300 nits brightness.
Vivid Colors
The 39.7" In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel is factory calibrated to deliver 1.07 billion colors with high-dynamic range, covering 98% of the DCI-P3 gamut for lifelike colors that feature bright whites and deep blacks. This monitor also supports hardware color calibration using a separately purchased calibrator.
Enhanced Multitasking
The integrated Dual Controller allows you to view content from multiple connected sources simultaneously in Picture-by-Picture (PbP) mode.
AMD FreeSync
Reduce screen tearing with AMD FreeSync Premium technology. FreeSync enables the monitor to dynamically adjust its refresh rate to the frame rate being output by the graphics card, thereby greatly reducing screen tearing, stuttering, and other artifacts.
Fully Connected
The LG UltraWide 40WP95C-W includes two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort input, and a Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C input. The HDMI port supports a maximum resolution of 3440 x 1440.
Thunderbolt 4 Connectivity
Connect a compatible laptop to the display to transfer video, data, and up to 96W of power over a single cable. The Thunderbolt 4 output port can be used to daisy chain additional monitors.
USB Hub
Connecting your USB Type-C compatible system to the Thunderbolt 4 input enables monitor's integrated 2-port USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A hub, which allows you to quickly connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and flash drives through the monitor and transfer data at up to 5 Gb/s. USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0 are synonymous.

Immerse yourself in music, movies, and games with the built-in 10W stereo speaker system with enriched bass. Or connect a pair of headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack for listening privacy.

The monitor itself is ok, but unfortunatly the thunderbolt port is not reliable at all. The monitor is now completely useless since the port has suddenly failed. Such a disappointment for what could have been a good monitor.

Unacceptable flicker and image retention

Extreme flickering occurs when specific colors are displayed. If you somehow manage to ignore it and avoid an epileptic seizure, you're rewarded with temporary, burn-in-like image retention. This effect is only alleviated by displaying a plain white screen for a few minutes or by waiting a couple of hours for it to disappear on its own.

Since it has no KVM, can I use LG's software to switch between two computers plugged into the DisplayPort and Thunderbolt port? I'm not interested in HDMI and the manufacturer seems to have a problem answering this question.

Yes, you will be able to switch between inputs in this way, but any connected devices such as a keyboard or mouse will not be able to connect to both computers.
