Offering remarkable productivity, it features cutting-edge supertank printing technology with easy-to-fill, supersized ink tanks with a small compact footprint. Users will enjoy sharp prints with a 5760 x 1440 dpi resolution and excellent speeds up to 10.5 ppm for black documents and 5 ppm for color documents.

A variety of different document sizes are easily handled from small 3.5 x 5" cards to large 8.5 x 47.2" banners. The printer also provides automatic duplex printing and features built-in Wi-Fi for mobile devices where users can connect via the Epson Smart Panel app, Apple AirPrint, Android, Fire OS, Mopria, and more. This printer includes a 100-sheet standard input tray and sports an 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed scanner. The scan unit features an optical resolution of 2400 dpi, ensuring crisp images and copies are produced. I'm Liking My ST-C2100

Its a little early for a detailed review, I've only printed about 60 pages. Set up was easy and I really like being able to print with WIFI from my laptop. I have set up printing from my IPhones, although I am not sure how useful this will be. This is my first tank style printer so I am looking forward to the lower cost for ink, but only time will tell. Also, I have not set up to do photo printing, but based on past experience with Epson printers I expect good results, probably not great results as this is only a 4 color ink printer. The scanner is working well doing basic document scans. The only glitch so far has been the need to do two nozzle cleaning cycles in the first 60 pages. I am hoping that this is just getting the air out of the system with the tank style ink delivery.

For the last time I've coughed up $150 for print cartridges for a Hewlett-Packard, never again! SuperTank bottles are $12-$14 and have twice as much ink and a HP cartridge. Seems to print every bit as nicely as HP but costs WAY less to operate.

Yes! It's capable of doing excellent sublimation printing, but ONLY if you fill the ink tanks the FIRST TIME YOU PUT INK IN with sublimation inks INSTEAD of the inks that come with the printer. You CANNOT mix the Pigment inks that come bundled with the printer with Dye Sublimation inks. After you fill it with Dye Sublimation inks, it will ALWAYS be a sublimation printer. You cannot print with Pigment inks on this printer again. You can find good quality Dye Sublimation inks with an internet search.

I just came from a Staples store interested in ...

I just came from a Staples store interested in buying a Epson ET 2850 or 2800 which have the Ecotank for the ink. I had 2 separate employees tell me that the ink dries out if the printer is not used on a daily basis - the air can get to the them whereas the cartridges are sealed and no air can get to them. They told me not to buy a printer with the ecotanks since I wouldn't be using it frequently enough. Is this true? I liked the idea of the ecotanks but I don't want to be replacing the printer in a few months or so.

No, I decided not to buy this Epson EcoTank ET-8500 since I don't use my printer on a daily basis or sometimes a weekly basis. I didn't want to have problem of cartridge drying out due to lack of use.
