How is the X-Series different from the S-Series? It looks the same from what I can see on this page.
The Dracast X Series makes a lot of improvements over its S Series predecessor -
1. X Series is a lighter and slimmer design than the S Series panels.
2. X Series is designed to be used with the Dracast DRX app available for iOS and Android.
3. The DRX app can control all X models individually or in groups and can control output, CCT, and effects.
4. X Series has a completely re-designed and updated UI / control menu
5. X Series uses newer technology SMD LEDs

Which one is brighter? This X or Silver series? I can see this is newer with different looking LEDs.
Technically speaking, the X Series lights are a bit brighter when comparting wattage of each fixture. However, the X Series uses the newer style SMD LEDs on the board versus the older style "through-hole" LEDs on the S-Series lights. SMD LEDs can have more power run to them without overheating thus they can be brighter. The advantage that through-hole LEDs have is that they are usually lensed and can thus focus the light output into a tighter beam-angle. The result is that even though SMD LEDs are using more wattage and giving more light output, it is cast at a wider angle and so it can appear to be not as bright.
Really though - the X Series is the latest generation of the Dracast line of compact LED panels. The X Series will ultimately replace the S Series models as they become discontinued.
