GVM BD100 Overview

Use this GVM BD100 2-Light Kit to illuminate the scene when you shoot live broadcasts, outdoor or studio photography, and videos for YouTube. Each 3' wand outputs up to 900 lux at 3.3' and combines an extended continuous variable color temperature range with a multi-hued RGB color palette. They can be tuned to meet ambient conditions, have variable color from 3200 to 5600K, and are dimmable from 0 to 100%. The RGB range allows you to choose from a myriad of colors and hues while the high CRI rating of 97 assures accurate color reproduction.

The BD100 can be controlled onboard via an easy-to-use OLED display with control via the panel control or an app with your mobile device. You can effortlessly adjust and customize the light's settings to achieve your desired parameters. The integrated battery can be recharged with the included power supply. This kit includes a double lamp bracket for mounting as well as a bag for convenient storage and transportation of the entire kit.

Special Effects
The BD100 features eight built-in special effects to choose from including lightning, cop car, candlelight, TV, bad bulb, party, disco, and paparazzi.

I use this to help light up my vinyl backdrops or greenscreen. It does the job there. But the quality of light doesn't compare the a Nanlite tube. Also, when I got this one of the lights didn't work. I had to talk with the manufacturer to get a new one but they were nice about it and send a new one to me. I also got this on sale so that made the decision to get it. I would say that a Nanlite is better for overall everything but you have to see what your budget is and what you all need it for.

I've been really pleased with this light wand thus far. It's easy to use, stays charged for hours, and offers multiple light choices. As a photographer, it's a useful tool for focusing light on subjects, especially in limited space areas.

How long does the battery last?

How long does the battery last?

The manufacturer does not list how long the GVM BD100 RGB LED Tube Light (3', 2-Light Kit) will last when fully charged, but per the information on the built-in battery, it seems it will last at full power for around one hour.

The BD-100 light bar in the GVM RGB LED Tube Wand 2-Light Kit with Internal Battery and Bracket, B&H # GVMBD1002P • MFR #GVM-BD100-2P, is 30.5 inches (77.47 cm) long and weighs 1.7 lb (0.77 kg). If you need a shorter LED light tube option, the BD-60 tube that is included in the GVM RGB LED Tube Wand 2-Light Kit with Bracket, B&H # GVMBD602P • MFR #GVM-BD60-2P, would be 21.9 inches (55.6 cm) long and weighs 1.65 lb (0.75 kg).
