The software is designed to be cost-effective and easy to use, allowing video editors with limited audio experience to ensure their mixes conform to basic loudness standards. Simply instantiate the plug-in as the final link in your audio processing chain, select your preferred preset or set your custom target, and you're ready to export your mix. You only have to play the entire file once, the software remembers your timeline. This means that when you change a small part in your timeline, you only have to play that new part to let LevelNorm V2 update the analysis for the whole track.
In Pro Tools, normalizing a piece of mono, stereo, or multichannel audio offline in the AAX AudioSuite is as easy as selecting the region of interest, opening the plug-in from the Dynamics list, and clicking the Process button. The fast workflow makes the software useful for quickly matching dialog levels; you may also choose to prepare tracks with a preset loudness offset. The AAX version optionally offers Dolby Dialog Intelligence to determine the dialog level automatically for ATSC A/85 compliance.
