The PowerStar Mini Triple Play II from PSC is a compact and convenient power distribution system designed to provide 12 VDC power to all your ENG audio components from one or more rechargeable batteries. The unit provides three 4-pin XLR power inputs and nine outputs. Each output can deliver up to 2A of current, with a global total current of 10A, 148V.
The three-way power switch can be set to USB, allowing for continuous charging of your USB devices while the rest of your system is powered off. When switched to the All On setting, everything, including the USB connectors, is powered on. When switched to the Off position, everything is turned off, including the USB ports. A single connector, identified by a blue ring, is always on and not controlled by the power switch.
The Power Star Mini Triple Play II uses PSC's exclusive Quiet Power Technology, which filters out unwanted switch mode noise and RF interference. This ensures clean, quiet recordings with minimal intermodulation noise, RF interference, and other noise. Additionally, each of the outputs is individually polyfuse protected and monitored for short circuits.
Improvements in the mark II version include moving all three inputs to the front panel for convenient access and replacing the volt meter with a multicolor LED that is easier to understand. The unit also has reverse polarity protection and genuine Switchcraft connectors, all in a sturdy aircraft aluminum body with a powder coat finish. A removable stainless steel belt clip is included for portability. An optional NP-1 battery cup and an assortment of PSC power cables are available separately.
