I used this to mount a Sony Z280 on a Crane 3s onto a Flycam Vista 3 arm and vest. The weight was fine but the rig was wobbly, top heavy and - in short - horrible. I was fighting instability all the way and getting it onto and off the arm was fraught with danger to the gear. As a result I didn't even consider using it on an actual shoot. No, no, no! The arm and vest are good, but this adapter idea - forget it.

I have been going down a long, hard, search for a base plate [the part with the red lever and clamps] and this plate needs ONE 3/8 threaded hole as to function as a tripod receiver so I can quickly dismount the gimbal setup and rest it on a tripod with a base receptor for easy quick parking of my rig. I found some that have 1/4 holes but not the 3/8 hole for as all my tripods use 3/8 bolt on top.
