Previously I used a booster, but it wasn't 4k. Then I bought an 8K cable that kept dropping out. This cable is so much better, no problems at all.

Excellent quality cable

This cable does exactly what it's supposed to. We have purchased two of them to use to get from our server rack to two different monitors in a remote part of the room. Picture quality looks perfect just as if you're using a regular 6 ft DisplayPort cable. I have not run anything at 4 or 8K so I cannot speak to those resolutions, just using them on 2K monitors at 2k. The cable feels very high quality with good quality latches on the ends, it is not excessively bulky which made it nice to get through the walls. Be sure you pay attention to which end is the source plug and which end is the monitor plug. Direction does matter on this cable.

Is this cable VESA certified?
Asked by: Tim
IOGEAR is a leading brand name and can be relied on as found on the displayport (VESA) website as no issues have been found with brand name displayport cables. They don't though specify themselves as VESA certified.

Is this cable compatible with Apple Studio Max
Asked by: Michael
The Apple Mac Studio does not have DisplayPort outputs, so the IOGEAR DisplayPort 1.4 Male Cable would not be able to connect to it.
