This tie down knob will NOT work with a Sachtler Ace XL head on the Manfrotto 645 CF fast twin leg sticks. You will need the old style Sachtler tie down knob. BH #SA75TD MFR #007

I bought this because the tie down for my Cartoni Focus HD head was too wide to use with the Manfrotto 645 Fast legs. The knobs on the Cartoni tie-down are 71mm across at their widest point, which prevents these tripod legs from closing all the way. The widest point on this tie-down is 45mm, and it works perfectly with the Manfrotto legs and holds the 100mm ball head tightly with no play, even though it is listed as a 75mm tie down. The female thread receiver is 10mm, and it's deep so even if you have a really long screw on the bottom of your head, it should still accept it.

We are only aware of the Sachtler Tie-Down Knob for Ace & 75mm Heads being compatible with Sachtler brand Ace and 75mm bowl tripods. Sachtler's accessories tend to be specific to Sachtler and often are not compatible with other systems.
