Based on sonic qualities of the legendary Abbey Road Studios hardware of the 1960s, the Brightness Abbey Road Hardware Plug-In from Plug & Mix is a simple but useful plug-in that emulates the famous gear used to record almost every Beatles album, allowing you to boost or attenuate the brightness of your signals. You can select which frequencies to boost or drop, ranging from 2.8 to 10 kHz, and a handy clipper switch is included for engaging an internal limiter to avoid unwanted peaking.
This plug-in features separate knobs for adjusting input and output levels, and is available in AAX Native, Audio Units, RTAS, and VST formats for wide compatibility with most DAWs on macOS or Windows.
Controls
The brightness plug-in features three knobs, three buttons, and one switch, including:
- Brightness: Adds less or more brightness to your signals ±10 dB
- Selection buttons: Select the frequency to boost or attenuate: 2.8, 3.6, or 10 kHz
- Clipper: Turns on the built-in limiter to prevent peaking
- In: Controls the input level of the plug-in
- Out: Controls the output level of the plug-in
