Based upon the legendary Marshall amps that defined the British invasion, the British Tone Amp Emulation Plug-In from Plug & Mix is an extremely versatile guitar amp plug-in that can deliver everything from jangly cleans and sweet, warm sounding overdrives, to dense crunch and edgy, overtone-rich distortion. Six control knobs, which handle drive, levels and 3-band EQ, are paired with dynamic speaker emulation that allows you to select on- or off-axis mic placement.
Two switches provide stereo signal mode and gain boosting, adding some serious fire to your guitar sound that is never flat or muddy. This plug-in is available in AAX Native, Audio-Unit, RTAS, and VST formats for wide compatibility with most DAWs.
Controls
The British Tone amp emulation features six knobs, two switches, and three buttons, including:
- Drive: Adds more distortion
- Bass: Adds less or more low frequencies
- Middle: Adds less or more middle frequencies
- Treble: Adds less or more high frequencies
- Stereo: Creates stereo output signal
- Boost: Provides further gain boosting
- In: Controls the input level of the plug-in
- Out: Controls the output level of the plug-in
- Off: Bypass selection
- Off Axis: Moves virtual mic placement off axis from speaker
- On Axis: Moves virtual mic placement on axis from speaker
