Delivering mangled mayhem to your tracks, the Degradiator Plug-In from Plug & Mix is a great way to dirty up your tracks by introducing digital saturation, lo-fi down-sampling, and more, for wild yet controllable texture. This effect plug-in provides three levels of bitcrushing, and a programmable bandpass filter allows you to achieve vintage radio and telephone sounds.
Six knobs enable control over the crush amount, the bit-depth (ranging from 24-bits to 1-bit), the bandpass filter, sample rate (44.1 to 96 kHz), as well as the dry/wet mix and output level. This plug-in is available in AAX Native, Audio Units, RTAS, and VST formats for wide compatibility with most DAWs running on macOS and Windows.
Controls
The Degradiator effect plug-in features six knobs and three buttons, including:
- Crush: Controls severity of bit-crushing effect
- Bit-Depth: Determines the bit-depth (24-bits to 1-bit)
- Telephone: A bandpass filter that sweeps up to 20 kHz
- Down-Sample: Selects sample rate (44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz)
- Selector Buttons: Choose between three levels of bitcrushing
- Mix: Dry/wet mix of the plug-in
- Out: Controls the output level of the plug-in
