Yes. When it is powered on, the Saramonic Vmic5 Pro should have a blue LED on. When the battery is low, that will switch to a solid red light.

Has anyone tried using this with earphones in a classroom (no PA system) in place of a hearing aide?
Asked by: Martin
Although the Saramonic Vmic5 Pro Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is not intended for use as an assistive listening device, it might work in that manner, depending on the distance from the audio source and the acoustics of the classroom.

Does this capture a 2nd channel with -10db simultaneously as a way to protect against sounds that risk clipping?
Asked by: Brandon
The Saramonic Vmic5 Pro Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone does not include a "safety track" feature that captures a second track at a lower level than the main signal. It does feature three stages of gain control on board, but this is up to the user to adjust manually.
