LumenRadio Aurora Overview

The LumenRadio Aurora features LumenRadio CRMX technology for wireless DMX, and it is capable of single-universe transmissions and receiver applications with advanced features. Capable of transmitting or receiving one universe of DMX/RDM, it is a flexible device that can also move between universes. The enhanced radio design allows for long-range, solid transmissions up to 3280'.

The onboard Wi-Fi can receive sACN and Art-Net, while the Bluetooth interface enables configuration via the CRMX Toolbox App and streaming of DMX. The 5-pin XLR port can be used as an input or output for DMX/RDM from any source, making the Aurora act as a protocol converter. With the intuitive color screen, it's easy to configure locally, using the rotary knob to move between settings and universes. For even more control, the CRMX Toolbox App is capable of configuration from any smart device.

I configured just as instructed in Jeff Brink's YouTube video, works just fine with Blackout, connects without issues to all my receivers. I chose LumenRadio directly (over similar products) as since they own the keys to the castle, coming advances will likely hit their products first.

To transmit DMX wirelessly do I need one of these to transmit and a second one to receive?

This is a wireless DMC (CRMX) transmitter/receiver. You can use this as a transmitter to control lighting instruments with a built-in CRMX receiver. You can also control any other lighting instrument or dimmer that has an external CRMX receiver plugged into it. The receiver does not have to be another Aurora, just a CRMX receiver. There are many other options for CRMX receivers, many very much smaller and less expensive.

Since this supports Art-Net, if I have a physical DMX console, I could use this to transmit wirelessly to fixtures such as the Rayzr MC-200's via their built-in wireless Art-Net receivers?

Yes, you could use the LumenRadio Aurora Single Universe DMX/RDM Transceiver with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with a DMX console to control the Art-Net Receiver in the Rayzr MC200.
