At the time of this message, Cat 8 is mainly used in data centers for switch-to-switch communications, and it is not as readily available, nor would it provide any benefits for a home user since Cat 8 devices are not available. At best, you can get a Cat 7 cable like the Pearstone Cat 7 Double-Shielded Ethernet Patch Cable (50', Gray), B&H # PECAT7S50G.
