Will this work in conjunction with the studio display? My fear is I'm charging the MacBook Pro via the supposed cable over MagSafe. But I want the added ports and Ethernet when at home and docked using a second thunderbolt port on the side of my mbp 14. I can't get a clear answer from brydge nor apple
Asked by: Damian
Yes, the Brydge Stone Pro 12-Port TB4 Docking Station BH #BRYSPTB4 would work in conjunction with the Studio Display. If you connect more than one power source, the Mac charges only from the adapter or display providing the most power.

I just received my Brydge Stone Pro TB4. The outside of the packages says it was designed for Microsoft Surface and a red banner in the tip says it is for Windows 10 & 11. I bought this to use with a Mac Studio. Are there two different models: one for Microsoft and one for Apple or does the same model work with both?
Asked by: Rick
This dock can be used with Windows or Mac computers. It is not OS specific.

How is 8k outputted from this unit? My 8k only supports HDMI as it has no display ports. New to TB4, but do they even make HDMI 2 (unless it's higher revision like 2.1) to TB4 cable adapter?
Asked by: Jonathan
The Brydge Stone Pro 12-Port Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station supports 8K output, but all the other devices connected to it (such as laptop, desktop and monitor) have to be 8K capable.

Hi, I have iMac 27" 2019 that has 5K built-in monitor and 1 TB4 ports (40 Gb/s) and 1 USB-C in its back. I want to expand more port, particularly TB4 or USB-C. Can Brydge Stone Pro 12-Port TB4 Docking Station work with iMac 27" with its TB4 port? I worry about PD (90 W) for TB4 upload port as iMac has its own power supply.
Asked by: Edward
The Brydge Stone Pro 12-Port TB4 Docking Station can be used with a iMac. The PD is not an issue.

Can the additional ports be used without the included hdmi cables for usb or thunderbolt products? I don't expect to expand or need more hdmi ports but would love the use of these ports in the future
Asked by: Damian
You are not required to use all the ports of the Brydge Stone Pro 12-Port TB4 Docking Station. You would just use the ports as needed. Also please note that this dock only comes with a Thunderbolt cable. Other cables are not included and are sold separately.
