What are the criteria that were needed to be met ...

What are the criteria that were needed to be met in order for a lens to make it to the "Compatibility" tab? Was it merely a case of "the lens focuses and we can control the aperture"? Or does it indicate that the image circle covers the sensor?
Asked by: Stephen
The lenses under the "Compatibility" tab of the Fringer EF-Mount Lens to FUJIFILM GFX Camera Auto Adapter are simply lenses that will mount on the adapter. This does not indicate whether the lenses will cover the sensor, as the FUJIFILM GFX cameras use a larger sensor and most of these lenses will not cover it.

Unfortunately Fringer EF-Mount Lens to FUJIFILM GFX Camera Auto Adapter was not tested with that lens, but you can purchase the adapter and try it out and if it does not work return it.

Will the canon EF 70-200 f/4L IS work with this adapter without vignetting on the GFX 50s II??
Asked by: Simon
Thank you Daniel thats great to hear it will work perfectly, I would use it more past 70mm anyway. I used the 100-200 and found it a bit soft, thats why Ive looked into this alternative to a lens I already have.

Will this work with any EF lens? and does it ...

Will this work with any EF lens? and does it cover the sensor since it'a a large sensor? I am going for GFX 100S but before I do, I don't want to sell my existing lenses if this works with EF properly.
Asked by: Jamshed
The Fringer EF-GFX adapter has a very comprehensive list of lenses it is compatible with. The list is available on our "compatibility" tab. It has no optics, so you will likely see some vignetting unless the GFX100s is set up crop-mode. The Metabones 1.26x Expander for Canon EOS EF Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount GFX Camera is a better option since it has optics to maximize the connected lens's apparent angle of view, Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3Nd6FEs.

Will this ring work with Canon EF 200mm f1.8 L USM lens?
Asked by: Yongren
I just got a Tokina Opera 50/1.4 lens (EF mount) for my 50R. It has even less vignetting and focus accurately. For my experience, newer lenses can focus accurately on 50R, at least better than on DSLR. Maybe it is not fast but accurate, enough for still objects.
