We use an iPad to live stream our Sunday church services on YouTube. We were using another, "fancier", more expensive option to mount our iPad to the tripod. Although this other option had more mounting options and allowed the attachment of accessories, it blocked the 1/8 port for the headphones/mic. This required the use of a lightning adapter/breakout which had issues at times. This is a basic bracket which allows you to mount your iPad to a tripod and have access to all of the ports. Being able to use a 1/8 breakout cable in the headphone jack has eliminated the audio issues we were having. The iPad also fits into this bracket/mount with a slim silicon case to help protect the iPad which is a bonus. In short, a good basic tripod mount/bracket which allows you to mount your device to a tripod AND have access to all of the devices ports AND use and external mic with the cold shoe AND doesn't break the bank.
This is a great adaptor for your iPad on any tripod. We use it for remote cameras with our livestreams. Great adjustability and built well.
