Auray WC-RWG Overview

Simultaneously charge your Rode Wireless GO or GO II transmitter and receiver while minimizing clutter with the Auray WC-RWG Wireless Charger. Ideal for videographers, vloggers, and mobile journalists, this charger enables convenient charging of your wireless microphone system from a single power source. You can opt for cable-free wireless charging via a Qi charger, or wired charging using a USB cable connected to a USB charger or a free port on your computer.

Thanks to the WC-RWG's charging slots with integrated USB Type-C plugs, you can keep your transmitter and receiver charged and ready to go without having to carry around cords for each device. The WC-RWG also supports data transmission for the Wireless GO II, allowing you to download audio files from your transmitter to your computer while charging is in progress. The inclusion of a protective carry case makes the lightweight and compact WC-RWG wireless charger even more friendly for safe storage and travel.

For Rode Wireless GO and GO II
The innovative Rode Wireless Go system added cost-effective and high-end wireless audio to vlogs, videos, and mobile journalism, but the devices still need to be charged. The WC-RWG does away with the multiple cables that are needed to charge each device, and replaces them with a charging stand that needs only one power source. This is especially helpful for crowded desktops with multiple devices that are taking up several of your USB ports and outlets.
Wired Charging
One USB cable is all you need to charge your transmitter and receiver. Connect the charger with your computer's USB port, or use an optional USB charger.
Note:
Wired Charging is only compatible using USB-C to USB-A cables.
Wireless Charging
You can charge your Rode devices with the same popular Qi charging pads you use to charge your smartphone. Just set the charger on the pad, and your devices will charge.
Data Transmission
Thanks to support for Wireless GO II data transmission, you can download your saved audio files while charging your GO II devices. This is one of the charger's great time-saving features, because you don't need to charge your devices separately before you download and start editing and mixing your audio.
Protective Carry Case
The lightweight and portable charging system comes with a carry case for convenient storage, and protection against bumps, moisture, and dust during travel.

Auray WC-RWG Reviews

Never worked

Never worked immediately out of the box. Also, can we really call it wireless If you still have to plug it into a power source and then fully dock the microphones onto it? I got it free with the microphones otherwise I'd be demanding a refund

Works great and has one quirk...

This wireless charger works well BUT it has one annoying quirk which is why I rated it at 4 stars and not 5 stars. When I got this wireless charger I put my Wireless GO II devices in it and put it on my wireless charging pad and it worked perfectly fine. The problem came when I tried to plug in the device to my usb-c cable and it didn't charge. Come to find out - this device only charges with the port when using a usb-a to usb-c cable. Even though I will primarily be using this device with the wireless charging pad on my desk - I hate that I have to find a usb-a to usb-c cable to charge it via the port. I don't know about you, but I haven't used a usb-a cable in months if not years so it puzzles my why Auray didn't think to at least add a usb-a to usb-c cable in the box. I'm pretty sure that's why this device is rated at 1 star by other people. This cable necessity should be the FIRST thing that consumers read followed by - cable not included. Outside of this annoying cable quirk, the device works great for charging and it comes with a cute little carrying case that I will likely never utilize because it just adds more space in my kit/bag. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
