The first one I purchased had a deformity in the rubber cup causing the unit to lose adhesion in under an hour. I thought maybe it was the surface to which I was attaching it but I tried it against suction cup handholds in the bath for my octogenarian mother in law. Using the same vacuum mechanism, the handholds stay attached for months at a time. The cam mount, unloaded, failed inside of an hour. I'm exchanging it for another of the same model because everything else is really well built so I'm hoping this was a fluke and willing to give it another go.
