B+W Master 007 Clear Overview

The 77mm MRC MASTER 007 Clear Filter from B+W protects the front of your lens against the elements such as sand, dust, fingerprints, and splashing water. The filter is fully color-neutral and highly transparent. Featuring B+W's MRC nano coating, it also has an extremely low reflection. The optical information remains unaffected when it reaches the image sensor.

The coating reduces the adhesion tendency of dirt particles and water droplets. With MRC nano coating, a water droplet remains practically spherical. It rolls over the surface, and a first-rate dirt- and water-repellent effect occurs.

No, it does NOT come with a plastic case, unfortunately. The cloth case it comes with is barely large enough for the filter which makes it very difficult to remove without either dropping it or getting a fingerprint on it. "More sustainable packaging" is NONSENSE Manzell, and you know it. A more sustainable package would include a plastic case for the USER to sustain his very expensive purchase for decades.

What's the difference between the 007 & #010 (B+W MRC MASTER 007 Clear Filter vs B+W UV-Haze #010 MRC MASTER Filter)?

The UV-Haze #010 MRC MASTER Filter from B+W blocks UV light, which can cause blurring and a bluish cast. The Clear filter does not block any UV light so it does not change the image at all.

B+W renamed the filters. The B+W MRC MASTER 007 Clear Filter (46mm) and the B+W 46mm XS-Pro Clear MRC-Nano 007 Filter are the same model. The latest name is Master.
