The use of "B" controls contrast on any paper. Tones ranging from high density cold images to warm portrait blacks are possible.

I use this developer with Ilford papers. The dilution variation capabilities is an outstanding feature of TST. I use it at 1:15. It has a long working life and capacity. I've used the working solution (1:15) a week after it was mixed and it showed no change in image quality from the week before. It's also great for use where the temp. of the darkroom is not easy to stabilize. I've used it as low as 50 degrees F and at over 85 degrees F without any discernible difference. It really is a great developer. I only wish B&H sold it in the smaller 32 oz. size bottle.
