HPE Networking Instant On 1960 Overview

The HPE Networking Instant On 1960 24G 2XGT 24-Port Gigabit Managed Network Switch is an advanced, smart-managed, fixed configuration Gigabit stackable switch designed for small and growing businesses that is easy to deploy. These switches are designed to scale as business grows, making adding more employees, devices and applications simple.

Featuring 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports while supporting a 128 Gb/s switching capacity and 95 Mpps forwarding rate, the HPE Networking Instant On 1960 switch is designed to handle bandwidth-heavy applications like voice and video conferencing. Two 10G RJ45 ports and dual 10G SFP+ fiber slots are available for high-speed uplinks. This switch also lets you choose between the local web GUI management and using the Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal from almost anywhere.

The HPE Networking Instant On 1960 switch includes four 10G connections to connect to servers, network storage devices, or to other switches.
Simplify Network Deployment and Management
The HPE Networking Instant On 1960 Switch series offers a complete portfolio of choices for increased small business flexibility. They can be deployed using two management modes - Instant On cloud management (access via mobile app and/or web portal) and the local web GUI.
Cloud-Managed Stacking for Ease of Use
The HPE Networking Instant On mobile app and cloud-based web portal make cloud-managed stacking easy - just follow the recommendations to stack up to four HPE Networking Instant On 1960 switches and manage as a single entity.
Robust Security
The HPE Networking Instant On 1960 Switch Series lets you use VLANs and Access Control Lists to set bounds on what data can be seen by which users. Leverage 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure only known and authorized users can access your network. Automatic denial-of-service (DOS) monitors and protects the network against malicious attacks.

The 1930 is a good switch; performance is adequate for SMB needs. OS is good but could be more efficient.

Can a 10GB Device be used on an uplink port if another uplink port is used for the uplink?

The HPE Networking Instant On 1960 12-Port 1G / 2.5G PoE-Compliant Managed Network Switch (480W), B&H # HPS0F35AABA, could support a 10GbE device on one of the uplink ports, even if one of the uplink ports is being used for an uplink to another switch; they operate independently.
