The Dolby-A was a noise reduction device used to mitigate tape hiss when using large multitrack tape machines. Engineers discovered that by using just the the encoder stage, their tracks had a dynamically enhanced top end.
The plug-in includes a four-band compressor with attack and release controls, as well as a noise control for adding a vintage vibe. Vintage Enhancer is compatible with Mac and Windows and works within most major DAWs that support VST, AU, and AAX formats.
