Explorer Photo & Video EX-ACPRO Ascent Professional Carbon Fiber Tripod

The EX-ACPRO Ascent Professional Carbon Fiber Tripod from Explorer Photo & Video is a heavy-duty carbon fiber tripod suitable for larger photography setups where stability is the main objective. It's ideal for eliminating movement in windy conditions for landscape photographers, and just as ideal for impressive stability in the studio. The robust load capacity of up to 57.3 lb ensures high stability in a variety of shooting conditions, whether in the studio or out exploring the landscape. The 10-layer carbon fiber legs provide rigidity but keep weight low.

Each leg is attached to the tripod's collar via an offset leg joint that helps to evenly distribute heavy loads and maintain the tripod's rigidity. The joints and collar are constructed of lightweight anodized aluminum, which provides it with natural wear and corrosion resistance. Each of the three leg joints also features a variable angle stop that allows multiple shooting positions.

Additional weights or a camera bag can be mounted onto the ballast hook to add extra weight for windy conditions. The 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 accessory ports are integrated on the center junction to mount accessories such as the Explorer Sidekick magic arm, compact LED lights, microphones, or more. The flat mount features a 3/8"-16 stud that will accept most tripod heads. The interchangeable flat head mounting platform can be exchanged for the separately available EX-ACPROCC accessory center column if more height is required. The four leg sections extend to create a high maximum working height of 56.9" and collapse to a mere 20.5" for easy transport and storage. Independent leg spread and three available leg angle selections can be made to settle the tripod on uneven terrain and allow for super low-angle shooting from a height of 3.5" when the legs are splayed out.
