Designed for their DS3622xs+ and DS2422+ NAS enclosures, the DX1222 12-Bay Expansion Unit from Synology lets you add 12 additional drives to your deployment while keeping your storage and services online and uninterrupted. Its 12 drive bays support SATA 3.5" hard drives, as well as 2.5" hard drives and solid-state drives.
To connect to a supported Synology NAS, the DX1222 uses a Mini-SAS HD port. It is powered by a 550W power supply that runs at 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Included with this unit is an AC power cord, a Mini-SAS HD expansion cable, two hard drive tray keys, and 52 screws for 2.5" drives.
