will this fit in a drop in filter tray for canon L glass, like the 200-400 f4? Provided you take off the thumb stud.
Unfortunately, the NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1 to 5-Stop Variable ND Filter (52mm) will not fit in that lens. To fit in a drop-in filter holder, the filter needs to be very thin, the front has to be the same diameter as the back, and the filter cannot have the knurling on the outside of the filter.

Can the NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1-5 Stop (95mm) stil allow for the lens hood to be mounted on Sony 200-600G lens?
The NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano Variable ND Filter (95mm, 1- to 5-Stop) should work with the lens hood on the Sony 200-600G lens. You will need to take the lever off of the filter.

Will this filter work with Nikon Z 24-120mm F4 & DX 17-55mm F2.8. Will it vignette & does lens cap / hood of above zooms fit?
The NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano Variable ND Filter (77mm, 1- to 5-Stop) will work with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S and the Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED lenses, and this filter will not cause vignetting. The filter has an 82mm front thread, so the original lens caps for these lenses will not fit, but it includes an 82mm cap that can be used instead.

Does the filter have a threaded front element to allow for additional filter be threaded on the front?
The NiSi 82mm True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1-5 Stop Variable Neutral Density Filter has 86mm front threads. The 86mm front filter thread is larger than the rear thread to reduce the chance of vignetting on wide-angle lenses. It is recommended that this filter is used on 35mm or longer focal lengths lenses.
