Itoya Light Oasis Reviews
Fountain Pen Friendly Carry
These little Itoya notebooks are a hidden gem. They don't get as much attention, but they should. The light version here uses a lighter weight paper which helps give the notebook it's slim and lightweight form factor. That said, it's excellent paper! I was surprised by how minimal ghosting and bleed through are with my fountain pens and inks. My huge 1.5mm stub nib with a wet writing ink was able to cause some small bleed spots. Practically everything else I've tried so far has been stellar, though. The paper is smooth with just enough tooth to keep it from feeling like an ice skating rink. I love the line/grid hybrid system that Itoya uses as well. Also, in contrast to the heavier GSM paper in their Oasis National Parks books which is a creamy colored paper, this Oasis Light is a neutral white paper. Overall, an excellent notebook for a decent price.

As old TR paper discontinued, I was looking for something similar with strong sheen and shade. This paper is closest one I can find. The best thing about this paper is the price. You can buy paper with like 90% sheen of 52gsm TR and heavier weight (more bleed resistant) at price of Kokuyo. Donât miss it if you are fountain pen lover.
