This display also supports Crestron Connected interface functionality for streamlined integration with professional AV controls. Take advantage of webOS 6.0 for smooth execution and an intuitive GUI. You can also conveniently monitor and control the display via a mobile device or other internet-connected device.

High-Performance with webOS 6.0
LG's webOS 6.0, upgraded in SoC and web engine, is available on this display for a smooth execution of several tasks. The webOS smart signage platform enhances user convenience with intuitive GUI and provides simple app development tools such as SDK (software development kit), SCAP, and sample applications.
Various Sensor Connection
LG webOS smart signage supports simple connections with external sensors, such as GPIO, NFC and RFID, temperature sensors, and more via USB.

Please note, external sensors need to be tested for compatibility with the webOS platform and are available separately.

Mobile and Web Monitoring
Control and monitor the status of SM5J series displays in different locations in real time using the Control Manager. Available on internet connected devices, this embedded web monitoring solution allows you to flexibly and rapidly respond to emergency situations.

Please note, mobile devices need be connected with the signage display IP address and cancontrol one signage display at a time. Control Manager is optimized for Google Chrome 56 and above.

Compatible with AV Control System
The SM5J series supports Crestron Connected for high compatibility with professional AV controls to achieve seamless integration and automated network-based control, boosting business management efficiency.
LG ConnectedCare Service
Maintenance is easy and fast with the ConnectedCare service, a cloud service solution available separately from LG. It remotely manages the status of displays in client workplaces for fault diagnosis and remote-control services in real time, supporting the stable operation of clients' businesses. Please note, the availability of ConnectedCare service differs by region.
LG Promota
Using LG's Promota application, downloadable on a mobile device, you can easily create your own display contents. With Promota, you can add text and images to create an online profile for your business as well as deliver information such as event news, seasonal menus, promotions, and more, while recommending easy-to-use templates relevant to your industry.

Promota can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play store. Please note, Promota is not available for Europe or the CIS Region.

Smart Promotions
With Beacon and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), shop managers can provide coupons and information in real time.
Content Sharing
Content Mirroring among devices is available on a Wi-Fi network.

For families trying to help an elderly parent stay in-home with mild dementia or other issues, this display can be a very helpful part of remote-managing communication for them. We tried a few other displays -- consumer-level devices will never run 24/7 duty (necessary when the parent cannot remember how to use a remote to wake up the inevitable sleep mode). The Samsung we tried failed to display the calendar/signage app we needed. The LG with the webOS URL feature set up easily and successfully and so far, everything is running as expected. Finally. You'll need to use an app such as OptiSigns or other good tool to build the communications you need for their daily communication but the device itself is crucial. The LG got it done. And thanks to the guys at B&H for going the extra mile chatting through potential problems when the other display failed me. Purchase was easy, delivery was quick ... very happy so far.

This signage TV natively supports our signage provider (Signagelive). The picture is excellent, and sound is ok. It can drive external speakers if you need better sound. I've used it on Ethernet and WiFi, works great with either one.

Is this good enough for displaying on a store window for street viewing?

At 400 cd/m², the LG 32" Class 1080p Full HD Commercial Signage Display BH #LG32SM5JB is not bright enough to hang in a store window.
