I had a Spyder4 Pro and felt now was the time to upgrade to a newer model. A Flash Deal from B&H came at the right time, because I was able to upgrade to the SpyderX Elite for the same price as the Pro. The SpyderX Elite comes with a USB-A cable. But, you have to either use an adapter or cable like this to connect the SpyderX to a device with a USB-C port. To make things simple, I opted to get this cable. The price was reasonable. Also, I would be able to have this cable near my SpyderX and not have to hunt for an adapter or USB-A to USB-C cable. It was just a convenience to purchase this cable.
