The AMBus-DIGI 8 Plus card from Apogee is used to interface the AD-8000 to Digidesign's Pro Tools, Pro Tools 24 or Sound Designer cards. With this card and the 8-channel D/A card installed, the AD-8000 replaces Digidesign's 882, 888 and 888-24 I/O converter units, while adding more features.
Digidesign's Digital I/O PCI card must be installed in the host computer and is connected to the AMBus card via the proprietary cable supplied with the Digidesign system.
Note:
A TDIF cable that terminates with a DB-25 connector at each end is required.
