Polsen PP-22 Overview

Audiophiles and music enthusiasts looking to add a turntable to their hi-fi setup will appreciate the Polsen PP-22, a stereo phono preamplifier that converts the phono-level signal to a line-level signal that's compatible with a stereo amplifier, audio interface, mixer, or PA system.

The phono signal is processed by the integrated RIAA EQ, while being boosted by 35 dB to ensure a great sound. The PP-22 provides stereo RCA inputs and outputs as well as a 1/4" stereo output for added flexibility. The low-noise circuitry ensures no coloration of the amplified signal, and an integrated ground wire will defeat any noise or hum from a ground loop.

Boost Your Turntable Signal
If you connected your turntable to your stereo's AUX inputs, and you need to turn the volume all the way up to hear something, you need the Polsen PP-22. Connect the PP-22 inline between your turntable and your amp or receiver to boost the turntable's signal by 35 dB. Once it's connected, you can listen to your vinyl in all its glory over newer stereo systems.
Converts Phono to Line Level
Sending a turntable signal to a mixer or other sound system is another reason to plug your turntable into the PP-22. Once the PP-22 boosts the turntable signal by 35 dB, you can send it to any line-in device like a compatible stereo amp, mixer, or PA.
Pristine Sound, Low Noise
The low-noise circuitry ensures a pristine amplified signal that's equalized to strict RIAA specifications, and your records will sound great without any added coloration.
Output Options
You can connect the PP-22 to a stereo amplifier, receiver, or DJ mixer via the stereo RCA outputs. The 1/4-inch stereo output lets you send the turntable's signal to a mixing board or PA system.
Turntable Ground Lug
You know a ground loop hum when you hear it, and the PP-22 has a ground lug that will get rid of it. Attach the ground wire from your turntable to the ground lug and tighten the screw. The hum will disappear.

Probably the best you can do at this price point, but there's noticeable loss in the low frequencies and the output level is significantly low compared to other phono preamps. Wish I had sprung for a better quality alternative

I can now play records

It works to amplify my phono signal so that I can hear it, however, the sound is flat. So for the price, it does give me a chance to hear my vinyl but I imagine more expensive amps may deliver it better.
