Looking for jet flyby sounds for the silver screen? Check out BOOM LIBRARY JET FLYBYS, a sound library for unique sound producers who want jet engines. Gaseous or liquid fuel is violently mixed with extremely dense compressed air and then gets burned. And this is only one element of the sound. Others are the fan, the compressor, the combustor, the turbine, and more. The 24-bit / 96 kHz WAV files are compatible with Windows and Mac.
To Get the Special, Isolate the Common
We all know how jet flybys sound as we're constantly hearing them from passenger airplanes. If you live in a region where fighter aircrafts are practicing test flights, you know how low-flying jet engines sound. Boom got even closer with their new MICRO-BOOM SFX library JET FLYBYS.
What Was Recorded
BOOM recorded F18 Hornet jets from the United States Navy that were flying very low above the microphones. BOOM delivers those flyby sounds in three distances (close, medium, and distant) and with three different microphone setups (MS, XY, and HH (Hammerhead), a custom setup BOOM's sound designers invented, which is perfect for such recordings). Close and medium have variations containing the typical jet engine whistle.
