The Swing is made to be easy to use via the dedicated JOBY Motion app for iOS and Android. All you have to do is connect your phone to it with a 1/4"-20 adapter (not included). Once set up, the app wirelessly springs the Swing into motion via Bluetooth, passing on your commands to split and expand with a generous 15" of travel distance; moving your phone as it films a video clip. In the app you can adjust the travel speed to achieve different effects. If you need more stability, the bottom 1/4"-20 connection can be used with an optional tripod.
