Designed for use with the Canon C70 cinema camera, this Z-Finder Cold Shoe Mount from Zacuto attaches an existing Z-Finder Pro 2.5x to the camera's LCD screen. It mounts by sliding into the camera's cold shoe and is secured with a 1/4"-20 screw, providing a rock-solid mounting point. The mount features a foam-padded sleeve that won't damage or scratch your camera's LCD, and the flip-open hinge feature gives you easy access to the LCD's touchscreen for changing settings on the fly. Additionally, the Z-Finder will hold its position when flipped open and then lock in the closed position when you are done touching the LCD. The mount also gives you a cold shoe for mounting an additional accessory, and it incorporates a small section of NATO-compatible Z-Rail for attaching top handles.

Not a perfect solution but it works
My main method for shooting video on DSLRs has been hand-held with a viewfinder for the LCD screen. So when I got the C70, I obviously began looking for a way to continue to do this. There aren't many options, but this cold shoe mount frame for the Z-Finder is definitely usable with a couple of caveats: 1. When it's mounted on the camera you lose access to the audio controls. 2. It only works with the BP-A30 battery. 3. It's designed with its own cold shoe since it requires use of the C70's cold shoe to mount. This makes it so that you can't use the Canon-supplied top handle - since that handle screws in, and the Zacuto frame has no threaded holes. If you're using the Tilta cage for the C70 you can use the Tilta top handle (I prefer this as it takes the burden of support off of the C70's cold shoe and transfers it to the cage). But you'll need to remove about 1/4 inch of material from the Zacuto's cold shoe to make room for the Tilta handle. So, not a perfect solution, but it is workable. I'll also add that the Zacuto frame is built like a tank and fits perfectly. Once it's mounted it's as if it were part of the camera itself.
A very good mount with some drawbacks
Overall a good product for the C70. Pros: Unlike the other mount from Zacuto this one doesn't put any pressure on the fragile C70 screen. Cons: 1. You are loosing the access to the audio controls at the back of the camera. 2. It seems like It was designed with the BP-A30 battery only. With the BP-A60, in fully closed position you cannot access the locking knob. You will need to completely remove the battery to be able to open it again.
