I was a bit hesitant to say the least looking at the price tag, but I decided to follow through in purchasing this telescope. I’ve had many recommendations from professionals to get a dobsonian telescope. After some digging I found the skywatcher to be pleasing. I went with a collapsible one for easier storage. I do have to say I have never seen the sky in such a way before in my life. The nebulas and star clusters with this 254mm aperture is something to die for. I can stare at the sky the whole night and it will never get old. I would definately recommend a telescope that has a bigger aperture if you are on the fence about it. Light will always be better than magnification. So go for the bigger aperture! I love this telescope and will always cherish it, side note you won’t need to buy a new telescope if you get this. If you want better views, you buy better eyepieces or drive out to better locations with less light pollution. I approve 10/10. Overall the telescope does not have anything that I don’t like. Everything is built in great quality and feels very sturdy and clean.

The first telescope I purchased a year ago is the Skymax 127 AZ-GTi. It's an excellent telescope for planetary and lunar visual astronomy. My convenient daily astronomy environment is in downtown San Diego with only a westward viewing area from the balcony of our 15th-floor condo. With the restricted westward view of the night sky, I lose access to viewing the planets (without getting up at 4:00 AM) for many months of the year. So, I wanted a telescope that would give me better access to deep-sky wonders. I did quite a lot of research online to inform my second telescope purchase. Given my goals, I decided on this Sky-Watcher Flextube 250P 10 Collapsible Dobsonian. I'm thrilled with my choice. Our condo is good-sized relative to the typical Downtown San Diego condos (other than those costing multiple millions of dollars). Even so, I wanted a scope that could be kept in our living room near the balcony. When the flextube is collapsed, the telescope sits nicely behind one of our living room chairs and isn't an enormous distraction standing tall in the corner. It's perfect. Another critical point is the fantastic and professional execution of my order by B&H Photo. Once I placed my order online with B&H Photo, they immediately arranged for shipment via FedEx 2-day. The shipment from New Jersey to California arrived in one day. Fantastic! I highly recommend choosing B&H Photo as a responsive and reliable vendor for telescopes and accessories and the other products they carry.
