From ultrafine carving to laser engraving, the 2.0 A350 Rotary Module adds a fourth axis to your Snapmaker 2.0 printer, opening up a wide range of project possibilities. On its own, the 3-jaw chuck and strain wave gearing allow for ultra-fine carving of small objects. Much finer detail than FDM and SLA, without the risks of extrusion errors or dealing with supports. You can create small sculptures, gaming miniatures, or even hollow objects, such as a candle holder. With the optional laser module on your Snapmaker 2.0, you can laser engrave on rounded objects.
Ultrafine Detail
To achieve its ultrafine detail capabilities, even in uneven and irregular surfaces, the strain wave gearing uses a 100:1 speed reducer to convert that power to a lower speed. This lets the 3-jaw chuck rotate with a minimum angle of 0.1°.
Fast Sculpting & Precise Control
A 360° continuous rotation with a maximum angular speed of 45° per second allows for fast sculpting of objects. Even at that speed, you get precision control ranging from 0.2°, 1°, and 5° rotation, selectable on your Snapmaker 2.0's touchscreen.
Snapmaker Luban
The rotary module is compatible with Snapmaker Luban, Snapmaker's free CAD and CAM software. You can use it to import STL files or create something from scratch.
Origin Assistant
This feature works with Snapmaker 2.0's touchscreen to make rotary carving simpler. More easily preset CNC bits, set origins and Z-offsets, and install materials. You can also choose Assist Mode or Manual Mode for more flexible controls.
Material Support
The rotary module supports dozens of material types, such as wood, tooling boards, plastic, bamboo, leather, fabric, and non-transparent acrylics.
Additional Features
- Maximum material size of 6.7 x 2.7" (Length x Diameter)
- Holes on either side of the baseplate for mounting headstock & tailstock in different locations
- Durable anodized aluminum construction
