SWAROVSKI OPTIK CL Curio 7x21 Reviews
Excellent and tiny binoculars
I already had a pair of Zeiss Victory Pocket 8x25 binoculars that I used when I didn’t want to bring one of my larger pairs of binoculars, but I found that even the Zeiss Pocket ones were too large for short trips by plane. I landed on these CL Curio Compacts due to the small size and am extremely pleased with them. The Swaros feel like they are 2/3 the size of the Zeiss Pockets and fold up to be much more compact. Glass quality is exceptional. Extreme light transmission and the overall build quality is superior. These are my first pair of Swaros but I would now consider them for future purchases even though historically I have exclusively owned and used Zeiss for my high-end glassing.
Worth the cost
I've owned about 7 pairs of binoculars over the years, and currently also have a 35 year old 8X20 Leica that I've carried in Asia and South America. I read online about this Swarovski, and saw only praise. The 7X power was mentioned as not being a problem. After getting this and carrying it backpacking in Colorado, I now agree with what I read. It really is that good, while still being very small and light. I highly recommend these as being the best high quality small binocular, and I tried several others.
