Due to space constraints, a monitor arm was required and this one did the trick. I was skeptical about the arm's strength due to the number plastic parts, but the lightweight monitor attached to the monitor arm doesn't seem to be taxing the monitor arm at all. Positioning the monitor is easy, with the only limitation being adjusting the height of the monitor; the entire monitor arm needs to be repositioned to adjust the height of the attached monitor. Other than that, this monitor arm is a simple, affordable solution for compact spaces.

Mounted to my shelf with a round metal side-pole just fine. At first I thought the metal rails were going to be too small for the diameter of the big pole, but it fit just fine. Stays in place and easy to adjust. Also, the price was a killer deal! Highly recommend.
