This piece works well for switching your Aktiv head quickly from tripod do Dana Dolly. Because of the design of the Dana Dolly, this piece requires three screws to mount. If you're renting a Dana dolly, this means you have to remove after the job which is a bit fussy. Also requires that you adjust the Aktiv 10 receiver by trial and error to get the right degree of tightness.

When I tighten my Activ10 head all the way down ...
When I tighten my Activ10 head all the way down to this adapter there is still play. Any tips?
It is recommended to first screw the Dana Dolly 100mm Adapter for Sachtler aktiv10 all the way down so that it as a little too tight, and then loosening the screws just ever so slightly from too tight should seat the adapter properly.

With the Dana Dolly 100mm Adapter for Sachtler aktiv 10, will allow the Sachtler Aktiv 10 tripod head to mount directly with it's included Aktiv system adapter.

What accessories do I need to quickly go from tripod to slider (dana dolly) without having to disassembly the tripod? Is it this dana dolly adapter + aktiv bowl connector 100mm?
The Dana Dolly 100mm Adapter for Sachtler aktiv10 is really just a mounting platform that allows the Dana Dolly to hold the aktive10 head, but it isn't the full mount as you will still need the bottom locking piece to secure the head to the 100mm adapter. You could use the lock that comes with the tripod but for the fastest transition we sell the Sachtler aktiv Head to Slider Carriage Adapter, which is a second locking piece for the bottom of the aktiv10 head(BH #SAS20800004), allowing users to only need to pull the head release to pop it from one mount to the next.

Does this also work with regular 100mm head without long enough stud like 1030DS tripods?
