Poor, sloppy fit from adapter to body.

The auto-focus functionality was preserved just fine, however there is enough play that the lens gets 5 to 10 degrees of side to side and up/down movement. It is not enough for me to see daylight between the rubber gasket and my camera body, but it is enough movement (getting worse with each week I use it) that I have serious doubts as to whether or not the gasket could be effective in sealing out moisture or dust. Learned my lesson and bit the bullet for the Canon ring adapter, which fits solid and has ZERO play.

works great but some fails with R7 and Tamron lens

The adapter works fine with R5 and ALL lenses, including the 18-400mm Tamron. However it fails to AF with the R7 and the 18-400mm , this is a bummer, as the 18-400mm is a perfect travel lens paired with the R7. Another problem is the ring, although it works fine, it does not feel good , a little too loose no resistance, hard to explain.

Meike MK-EFTR-B Customized Control Ring Adapter for EF/EF-S Lens to EOS-R Cameras has a USB port that allows you to plug the adapter to a computer via a USB cable and update the firmware.
