Wanted to protect the camera and assumed the Leica half case would fit well and do the job. It does. Typical Leica packaging, attaches to the camera using the tripod screw so it stays secure. Only downside is cost, but it’s Leica so you already know that.

Glad I bought it. The camera case fits the M 11 perfectly. No gaps. High-quality materials and finish. Very functional. The attachment pin is a great improvement. The case protects the bottom of the camera from incidental bumps and dings. The case for the M10R had a removable flap to protect the screen; I thought I might miss it on the M 11 case, but I don't.

No, the Leica M11 Protector Case does not screw into the tripod mount of the camera.
