An accurate pro-level 2.1 monitoring system for studios, broadcast facilities, and more, this B&H Kit features a pair of Focal Alpha 80 Evo active 8" monitors and the Focal Sub One active dual 8" subwoofer. The ported cabinets house powerful Class-D amplifiers and 8" cone woofers made with Focal's special Slatefiber material. With flexible connectivity and plenty of tunable settings, this kit is a great fit for home mixing environments and commercial rooms alike.
Whether you monitor at low or high volume, the Focal Alpha 80 Evo active 8" studio monitor delivers the same sound profile, making it a valuable reference tool for tracking, mixing, DJing, and broadcast applications. Compared to the original Alpha 80, the Evo version offers Slatefiber in place of polyglass material for the woofer, a new cabinet design, a third input jack, a defeatable automatic standby mode, and inserts for wall mounting.
The combination of the updated cabinet, 8" Slatefiber woofer, 1" aluminum inverted dome tweeter, and two Class-D amplifiers allows the Alpha 80 Evo to produce neutral, distortion-free tone across its 38 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response. Use the onboard 2-band EQ to alter the sonic performance according to room eccentricities as well as personal preference.

Added to an existing monitoring setup, the Focal Sub One active subwoofer accurately fills in the crucial bass range in virtually any project studio, postproduction suite, or commercial recording facility. It is outfitted with two side-firing 8" Slatefiber cone woofers and dual front ports in a modestly sized cabinet that can easily fit under a desk or along a wall.
Powered by 200W of Class-D amplification, Sub One can effectively reproduce low frequencies from 32 to 120 Hz with low distortion and important micro-details. Adjustable level, phase, and low- and high-pass crossover settings enable precise tuning to accommodate sonic variances resulting from the subwoofer's placement in the room as well as the frequency response of the main monitors. With left, right, and LFE I/O on XLR jacks and footswitchable mute functionality that can be linked to other subwoofers, Sub One is designed for professionals.
