A great addition to an already excellent system

I was already a big fan of this background system with the frame and green screen fabric, so having the ability to add the black fabric to the same frame is a fantastic addition. It's nice being able to completely change the look of a shoot without needing another stand or background system. I simply swap out the fabric and I'm ready to go. Just like the green screen that comes with the kit, this fabric feels very well made. It has a nice weight to it, stretches evenly across the frame, and attaches quickly using the built-in elastic loops and grommets. Once in place, it gives you a clean, professional looking background that's large enough for full body shots or even small groups. What I really like is that this isn't limited to being just a photography backdrop. I can also use the black fabric as a large negative fill to control light during interviews or video productions. It also works well for blocking light coming through windows or sliding glass doors when shooting indoors. I love that kind of versatility. Like the original fabric, it packs down and fits into the compact case that came with the frame and green screen. This makes storage and transportation much easier than you would expect for something this large. It's also machine washable, which is always a welcome feature when equipment gets used regularly. This black fabric is an excellent addition to the Wide Vista system. It gives me another creative option without taking up more storage space, and it opens up several uses beyond just a black background for portraits. This is a worthwhile upgrade that adds a lot of flexibility to your productions. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Needs Time for Assembly

I was disappointed with how much time this needs to be assembled. I wasn't planning on setting this up once and leaving it. There is no way I can set up and strike this in a timely manor. The quality of the background if nice.

Do thes fabric backgrounds fit the manfrotto panoramic frame?

The Manfrotto Panoramic Background Kit (Chromakey Green, 13 x 7.5') measures 13 x 7.5', and the Angler Wide Vista Background Fabric (White, 8 x 13') measures 13 x 8'. This means the Angler Wide Vista Background Fabric (White, 8 x 13') is 6" taller than the Manfrotto Panoramic Background Frame. The result of using these two products together will result in an excess of 6" of fabric on either the top or bottom of the frame.

how thick/transparent are the backgrounds?

The Angler Wide Vista Background Fabric (White, 8 x 13') is made with polyester, which is a thicker material that will not let light through. The material is too thick, so it will not act as a diffusion.
